Partners

In accordance with state law and as partners in the ECCL project, the Emery Unified School District and the Emery City Council created the Citizens Oversight Committee to function in an advisory role. The Committee conducts public meetings, coordinates interaction between both elected bodies to ensure adherence to goals and objectives.  Specifically, the Committee:

• Provides fiscal oversight for Measure J bond funds;
• Prepare an annual report summarizing activities
• Ensures community engagement occurs;
• Makes recommendations as needed
• Updates City Schools Committee  

To provide an additional layer of oversight and ensure coordination, both elected bodies created the City/School Committee. It focuses on matters that affect both entities and advises the City Council on actions necessary to develop a coordinated approach that will enhance programs and activities for the youth of the City. It holds regular meeting open to the public.
